CIVIL SERVANTS HOUSING SCHEME FUND FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF
THE PROPOSED CIVIL SERVANTS HOUSING PROJECT IN SHAURI MOYO, KISUMU
The government of Kenya through the Ministry of Lands,
Housing and Urban Development intends to develop residential apartments under
the Civil Servants Housing Scheme Fund. The tenders comprise construction of
252 No. I, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments in 10 blocks of four storeys including associated
civil works, plumbing, mechanical and electrical services.

Interested contractors are invited to bid for the project.
The minimum requirement for prospective tenders is as follows.
1.
Be a registered company incorporated in Kenya
under the Companies Act CAP 486
2.
Must have a minimum annual turnover as indicated
for each year over the last five years
3.
Must have successfully completed a minimum of
two projects of a similar nature and complexity in the last five years
4.
Must provide evidence of financial, personnel
and equipment capability necessary for carrying out the works
5.
Must provide a valid bid security as indicated
above from an approved, reputable local commercial bank or insurance company. The
bid security should be in form of a cheque or guarantee
6.
Must enclose a copy of a valid Tax Compliance
Certificate
Preference will be given to special groups and local
companies in accordance with the regulations.
Tenderers are invited to read the instructions to tenderers
carefully.
Interested contractors who meet the above minimum criteria
may obtain the tender documents in person or against written application from
Ministry of Land, Housing and Urban Development, Ist Ngong Avenue, Off Ngong
Road, Ardhi House, Procurement Office, 6th
Floor, Wing B, MTC Secretariat, during normal working hours upon payment of
a non-refundable fee of Sh1,000 ($11.21) in cash or banker’s cheque payable to
the Civil Servants Housing Scheme Fund office located on Ground Floor, Wing “A”
of Ardhi House. Banker’s cheques should be drawn in favour of “Civil Servants
Housing Schem Fund” or download the tender documents at www.ardhi.go.ke
The technical and financial proposal shall be sealed in separate
envelopes each clearly marked “Technical Proposal” and “Financial Proposal”.
The envelope containing the financial proposal shall have a warning “Do not
open with the technical proposal” marked on the face of the envelope.
The envelopes containing the technical and financial
proposals shall be placed in a sealed outer envelope marked with respective tender number and tender name at
the right hand corner and bearing no other indications of the tenderer and
addressed to:

And deposited in the Tender Box located at the Ministry of
Land, Housing and Urban Development Headquarters, 6th Floor, Ardhi
House or sent by registered mail to reach the above no later than 21st
October, 2014 at 11 a.m.
Received proposals will be opened on the same day at 11:15
a.m. in the Ministry of Land, Housing
and Urban Development, HQ, Ardhi House, 6th Floor, Conference Room,
in the presence of the tenderers or their representatives who choose to attend.
Late bids will be returned unopened. Prices quoted must remain valid for a
period of 120 days from the opening date of the tender.
The Government reserves the right to accept or reject any
tender without giving reasons thereof and does not bind itself to accepting the
lowest or any tender.
